ORIENTAÇÕES O Ecstatic Dance é um espaço não-verbal. Evita falar durante a sessão, assim tens a possibilidade de mergulhar mais fundo e voar mais alto! Dançamos descalços (permitimos sapatos macios em caso de condição médica/saúde). O Ecstatic Dance é uma prática de atenção plena. Nenhum intoxicante (álcool/drogas) deve ser consumido antes ou durante. Deixa o telefone a descansar (desligado ou no modo silencioso). Não são permitidas fotos ou vídeos (ocasionalmente temos um fotógrafo profissional para registar o evento). Se desejas dançar com alguém, certifica-te de que haja consentimento prévio (por exemplo, um contato visual). Quando quiseres recusar ou terminar uma dança com alguém, simplesmente junta as mãos em oração (ex. gesto de namastê). Este é um símbolo de dança consciente universal para 'obrigad@, agora quero ficar sozinh@'.

What kind of music do you play?
Our DJs play a wide variety of genres and rhythms to allow you to connect with yourself, your emotions, and release them. Each DJ has their own personal style and signature, so you can expect a different experience each session. The only constant is the 'wave' format: we start with slow, meditative music, gradually increase the tempo and energy, reach a peak (during which you may or may not feel a state of 'ecstasy'), and finally gradually slow down again, ending in silence.
What should I bring?
Your body, comfortable clothes, and a water bottle (the venue has a filtered water dispenser to refill).
What should I wear?
Light, comfortable clothes that you can change out of. You will likely get warm and sweaty. If needed, bring a change of clothes.
Will there be food or drinks available?
It depends on the date — we will confirm this information in the practical email we send the day before the dance. You are always welcome to bring your own snacks.
I have never been to an Ecstatic Dance before. Am I welcome?
Absolutely! We love welcoming beginners to our events, and we always have many Ecstatic Dance 'virgins'. If you feel nervous, let one of us know when you check in at reception and we will give you a big welcome hug to calm your nerves :)
Can I come alone?
Yes, of course you can! We always have many people who come alone. Since talking is not allowed during the dance, it actually does not matter whether you come with friends or alone. Our sessions carry a very welcoming and friendly energy and you will most likely go home with new friendships.
Are children welcome?
Yes, children up to 14 years old can enter for free. Babies and young children require mandatory ear protection to enter the dance floor, as the music can get quite loud at times.
Do you offer a student discount?
Yes, we reserve 5 spots at €15 for students. Send us a photo of your student card to ecstaticdancelisboa@gmail.com before registering.
Can I pay with MB WAY or bank transfer?
We have moved to Eventbrite to simplify the registration process. You can pay with debit/credit card, PayPal, or Apple Pay. If none of these options work for you, send us an email to arrange an alternative payment method: ecstaticdancelisboa@gmail.com
Can I buy a ticket at the door?
Our events usually sell out, so we recommend buying your ticket in advance to guarantee entry. We have a very limited number of door tickets (min. contribution €30) to account for cancellations and no-shows, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
If I cannot attend, can I give or sell my pre-purchased ticket to a friend?
Yes you can. You will just need to give your name at the door when you arrive.
What is your refund policy?
We do not offer refunds, but if you cannot attend and notify us by email (ecstaticdancelisboa@gmail.com) at least 24 hours in advance, you can transfer your ticket to another date for a €1 fee (within 90 days).
